Bay 11: A Sweet Cali Treat
Bay 11 seeds will ultimately grow into medium-height plants with cone-shaped buds and bright green leaves. Even though the plants don’t grow incredibly tall, they still hold a ton of buds, which you will see for yourself come harvest time. The buds on this plant are dense and thick and sticky and release a tempting aroma. There are so many sticky rensiy trichomes on this plant that it looks like it was sprinkled with sugar. The buds at the very top of the plant are leafy and have bright amber pistils. You won’t be surprised at the harvested nuggets, as they are pretty standard-looking. They are equal parts green and orange and very dense. You will get a powerful whiff of fruity pine when you break these nuggets up. As for awards, this strain has a lot to brag about. Winner of the 2011 High Times Cannabis Cup as well as a dozen other local and national awards. The Bay 11 strain has an insanely good resume that should only entice you to grow it even more. Once you finish the grow and harvest this strain, you will want it in your routine moving forward.
Growing Tips for Our Seeds
Germinating Bay 11 seeds are for both the professional and novice grower. The process is simple. A temperate climate is preferred as this offers sunshine, warmth, and ample humidity. This particular strain is somewhat easy to grow but still needs care, as it grows best in well-controlled conditions. Outdoors is ideal for these plants in regions with long, warm summers. For those growing indoors, or hydroponically, the plants grow best in a controlled environment. Maintaining the correct temperature and lighting is most important for these plants to reach their full potential.
Dial in Your Growing Conditions
- Indoor or Outdoor: Bay 11 cannabis plants can be grown indoors and outdoors by experienced growers. The ideal temperature for these plants is between 70-80 degrees Fahrenheit. The light requirement for the Bay 11 feminized strain is 18-20 hours to ensure the proper time of growth. Because this strain is a photoperiod, it requires a change in the light cycle to move into the flowering stage. A 12/12 light cycle should get you through flowering and into harvest.
- Moisture control: Humidity levels of approximately 40-50% during the vegetative phase, gradually decreasing to 40% during the flowering stage.
- Training Techniques: To boost yield potential, experienced growers often use: Low-Stress Training (LST), which encourages horizontal growth for better light exposure. Topping is also a good technique as it changes the canopy to allow light to reach all levels of the plant.
The Germination Game Plan
Before you even plant your Bay 11 female cannabis plants, you will first need to germinate these seeds. To do so, refer to our free germination guide, knowing that they are backed by our impressive 90% germination guarantee.
Yields, Flowering Time, and Harvest
- Flowering Time: Growing indoors, you can expect to harvest after a flowering period of 60-70 days. Outdoor growers should be ready for harvest sometime near the end of October, depending on when you planted your seeds.
- Yields: While Indoor yields are around 1100 grams per square meter, outdoor grows typically produce up to 2300 grams per plant. Bay 11 yields are absolutely massive and worth every ounce of work needed to harvest. This strain boasts one of the highest yields in the cannabis world.
Dominant Terpenes in Bay 11: Citrus and Pine
The Bay 11 terpene profile is directly responsible for how the plant smells and tastes and the strong effects it has on its users. The most dominant terpene in this strain is limonene, while myrcene and caryophyllene are secondary terpenes.
- Limonene: Most Dominant – Found in the rinds of citrus fruits.
- Caryophyllene: Secondary Terpene – The “spicy and peppery” terpene. Found in cinnamon, cloves, black pepper, and cannabis.
- Myrcene: Earthy and Musky – The most dominant terpene found in modern commercial cannabis.
Dominant Cannabinoids in Bay 11:
Cannabinoids play an important role in Bay 11 seeds and are generally a huge part of most strains of cannabis. That focused, uplifted, and happy feeling you get when enjoying the Bay 11 strain is due to its dominant cannabinoids. Each cannabinoid does something different to the user.
- THC: The Main Character – THC is the most dominant cannabinoid on the molecular level of this strain. The crystalline compound tetrahydrocannabinol is the main ingredient of cannabis. Topping out at a whopping 25%, the THC in this well-balanced hybrid strain is responsible for the uplifted and happy feeling you get when enjoying Bay 11 cannabis.

Solid strain, pretty straightforward to grow. Good for all experience levels. High is nice and balanced, relaxing but not too heavy. Smell is earthy and piney with a hint of sweetness. Yield is decent. Overall, a reliable choice for a good all-around grow.

Not only do these things have huge buds, but they come with very potent THC. I’m a very high tolerance person, but smoking 1 gram put me on my ass. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. Just buy it. I recommend 10 weeks as this strains full cycle. I don’t think I’ve ever wanted to write a review as much as I did on this one.

The stems on these plants are very strong and supported the heavy buds well. The plants grew fast and produced a lot of resinous buds.

The plants were tall with big, sticky buds. The trichomes were thick, and the high is very potent. Great for experienced users.
