White Rhino Auto Latest Arrival
Named for its similarity in appearance to the beautiful and rare White Rhino itself, this strain is the offspring of legendary cannabis strain White Widow as well as a North American Indica landrace, and Ruderalis. White Rhino dates back to the mid-1990s where it was created by Green House Seeds in Amsterdam. The crossing of powerful strains resulted in this Indica-dominant hybrid. With notoriously hefty yields, a spicy and piney flavor profile and a deep, pungent aroma and you have a massively sought-after strain that cannabis fans and growers equally love.

White Rhino: A Beautiful Beast of a Strain
White Rhino seeds produce one of the coolest and most unique looking plants known to man. The plant, leaves and tricombs are covered in white resin from top to bottom. The resin is what makes the plant look white when it is actually very green with dark amber hairs. When clipped, dried and harvested these buds are thick and dense and heavy. They appear mostly orange due to the hairs covering the green backdrop. Breaking these buds open will fill your space with a skunky aroma that is mouth-watering. Winner of multiple awards the White Rhino strain has taken home some major hardware. These awards include second place at the 1996 High Times Cannabis Cup and first place at the 2005 Champions Cup. Requiring a bit of patience and an intermediate level of experience, growing this strain can be difficult for first-timers.
Growing Tips for Our Seeds
White Rhino seeds can be tricky to grow even for veteran growers, however, with a little time and patience you can weather the storm and bring these dense, full buds to harvest. This strain prefers a damp climate and will fare well outdoors if you live in a naturally humid area geographically. If you’ve opted to grow indoors, you can control the conditions using tools such as a humidifier and thermostat to tweak the environment accordingly. Temperature-wise, White Rhino auto cannabis plants prefer warmer conditions.
Dial in Your Growing Conditions
- Indoor or Outdoor: White Rhino plants grow well indoors and outdoors producing monster yields either way. The ideal temperature for these plants is a between 70-85 degrees fahrenheit. Starting off you’ll need 18-24 hours of light per day but once you get to the flowerin stage you can dial that back to 12 hours of light and 12 hours of darkness or a more natural light cycle.
- Moisture control: The White Rhino strain requires moderate humidity levels between 40-60% during the vegetative stage. Lowering the humidity to between 40-50% while in the flowering stage.
- Training Techniques: Topping and low-stress training can really help with the success of this particular strain. Each promotes better light penetration and quality air flow.
The Germination Game Plan
Before you even plant your White Rhino female cannabis plants, you will first need to germinate these seeds. To do so, refer to our free germination guide, knowing that they are backed by our impressive 90% germination guarantee.
Yields, Flowering Time and Harvest
- Flowering Time: With indoor grows you can expect the White Rhino strain to harvest after a flowering stage of 55-65 days. Outdoor growers should anticipate harvesting anytime around mid-October.
- Yields: While Indoor yields are massive, around 800 grams per square meter, outdoor grows typically produce up to 1100 grams per plant. These yields make all the effort and attention well worth it in the end.
Dominant Terpenes in White Rhino: Robust in Growth and Flavor
The White Rhino terpene profile is directly responsible for how the plant smells, tastes and the strong effects it has on its users. The most dominant terpene in this strain is terpinolene, while myrcene and pinene are the secondary terpenes.
- Terpinolene: Most Dominant – A monoterpene that has antifungal and antibacterial properties which ultimately protect the plant.
- Myrcene: Secondary Terpene – Subtly uplifting. Known for a strong citrus aroma.
- Pinene: Skunky and Piney – The sedative properties may help users with insomnia.
Dominant Cannabinoids in White Rhino:
Cannabinoids play an important role in White Rhino seeds and are generally a huge part of most cannabis strains. That happy, relaxed and euphoric feeling you get when using the White Rhino strain is due to its dominant cannabinoids. Each cannabinoid does something different to the user.
- THC: The Main Character – THC is the most dominant cannabinoid on the molecular level of this strain. The crystalline compound tetrahydrocannabinol is the main ingredient of cannabis. Topping out at 18%, the THC in the Indica strain is responsible for the happy and relaxed feeling you get with White Rhino.
- CBD: Very Minimal Amounts – While the CBD levels in White Rhino are less than 1% the cannabinoid is still present. CBD plays a smaller role in what the strain does to the user. CBD is non-psychoactive and can produce effects that help with anxiety, sleep and even stress. The CBD in the White Rhino strain, even in its low amounts definitely has a positive effect on the user.
