This 50/50 hybrid is fabulously easy to grow, making it a top choice amongst growers of all skill levels, including newbies. You can grow Runtz female cannabis plants indoors or out with equal success. These plants prefer warm, dry climates to thrive. They require plenty of fresh air and sunlight, so if you are growing indoors, you will need to mimic that environment to get the most out of your grow. Make sure you have enough space to grow these taller-than-average plants. Also, keep in mind that the roots system grows wide, so you will need ample space between plants to ensure the roots have room to really spread out.

Dial in Your Growing Conditions

• Indoor or Outdoor: Runtz cannabis plants can be grown indoors and outdoors by all levels of growers. The ideal temperature for these plants is 70-80 degrees Fahrenheit, and they benefit from slightly cooler temperatures at night. Since Runtz cannabis plants are of the feminized variety, they must be provided with 18 hours of light per day and 6 hours of darkness during their vegetation stage. You will need to change the light cycle to 12/12 to induce flowering and make it all the way to harvest.
•  Moisture control: In terms of humidity levels, you’ll want to set it for 40-45% during the vegetative growth stage. To get the plants through to the flowering stage, you will need to drop the humidity to a steady 30% so that you don’t find mold or bud rot on your plants.
• Training Techniques: As a tall-growing strain that isn’t known for “spreading out,” you’ll probably want to use the Screen of Green method if you’re growing Runtz indoors to encourage more lateral growth. Outdoors, you are going to want to top and use Low-stress training to ensure that light and air reach all levels of the plant.

• Flowering Time: Growing indoors, you can expect to harvest after a flowering period of 55-65 days. Outdoor gardeners should plan on a harvest sometime around the end of September.
