Jealousy Cannabis
Jealousy cannabis seeds are the amazing result of crossing the potent and popular Gelato #41 and Sherbert Bx1 parent strains. Known for being incredibly well-balanced, Jealousy cannabis was originally bred in California by Seed Junky Genetics. Jealousy provides the intense taste and aroma of fruit, citrus, and vanilla with a splash of earthiness. This strain almost equal sativa and indica effects, making it perfect for day and night time bake sesh’s. A euphoric burst of energy and creativity accompanies Jealousy, giving you the focus and creativity to get things done. In addition to the cerebral effect, Jealousy also relaxes the body, especially towards the end of the users’ experience. It is this mix of welcomed effects and tasty flavor that has made Jealousy cannabis one of the fastest growing strains when it comes to popularity.

Jealousy: Green…and Purple with Envy
Jealousy cannabis seeds grow into a gorgeous plant featuring light green leaves with lavender colored buds stretching towards the sky. It is this distinct color combination that makes Jealousy plants easy to pick out in a grow room full of cannabis plants. Looking at the plants a little more closely you can see a white sugary substance covering the leaves and buds. It is that resin that makes Jealousy plants super sticky and add to the flavor and aroma profile of the bud. When harvested the nuggets you are left with are deep and dark green and coated in resin. When you break these nuggets up an earthy and sweet smell will fill the room, almost inviting you to partake in these tasty buds. In 2022, Jealousy won Strain of the Year and the following year Jealousy and its hybrids took home at least four other major awards in the cannabis community. While this strain is still relatively young it has garnered so much attention that it has become one of the most sought-after seeds in the world.
Growing Tips for Our Seeds
Jealousy can be grown indoors or outdoors successfully. Ideally, a warm, damp climate benefits the growth process of the Jealousy strain, but it will perform well in just about any climate as long as it’s not freezing or extremely dry. Whether you choose to grow Jealousy indoors or outdoors, it strives in a sunny, warm, humid environment. Being that the strain is from California it prefers that type of climate to really thrive and produce the desired yields. This strain is best grown by growers with prior experience growing cannabis plants.
Dial in Your Growing Conditions
- Indoor or Outdoor: Growing Jealousy plants indoors and outdoors can be difficult with little to no prior experience and it performs well in sunny climates.. The ideal temperature for these plants is between 70-80 degrees fahrenheit. Typically you should be changing the light cycle from 18 hours of light and 6 hours of darkness to a 12/12 schedule from vegetative to flowering stages.
- Moisture control: Relative humidity levels should be approximately 55-65% during the vegetative stage and lowered to 40-50% during the flowering stage.
- Training Techniques: Strategies like topping and low-stress training (LST) will help this plant grow to harvest by controlling the canopy and allowing light to reach every level of the plant.
The Germination Game Plan
Before you even plant your Jealousy female cannabis plants, you will first need to germinate these seeds. To do so, refer to our free germination guide, knowing that they are backed by our impressive 90% germination guarantee.
Yields, Flowering Time and Harvest
- Flowering Time: With indoor grows you can expect the Jealousy strain to harvest after a flowering period of 60-70 days. Outdoor cultivators should expect to harvest Jealousy cannabis plants around early October. To harvest, cut the branches and hang them upside down for about 7-10 days to dry out. Then cure them by putting each in an airtight jar for about 2-4 weeks. Make sure to open the jar daily for the first week to release any moisture.
- Yields: While Indoor yields are around 400-450 grams per plant and outdoor grows typically produce up to 450-500 grams per plant. With the amount of attention to detail these plants require the yield numbers are really great.
Dominant Terpenes in Jealousy: The Flavor You Crave
The Jealousy terpene profile is directly responsible for how the plant smells, tastes and the strong effects it has on its users. The most dominant terpene in this strain is myrcene, caryophyllene and limonene are the secondary terpenes.
- Myrcene: Most Dominant–
- Caryophyllene: Secondary Terpene – Peppery and spicy, found in cannabis as well as black pepper and cloves.
- Limonene: Citrussy Goodness – Found in citrus fruits known to elevate mood in users.
Dominant Cannabinoids in Jealousy:
Cannabinoids play an important role in Jealousy seeds and are generally a huge part of most cannabis strains. That euphoric, energetic and relaxed feeling you get when enjoying the Jealousy strain is due to its dominant cannabinoids. Each cannabinoid does something different to the user.
- THC: The Main Character – THC is the most dominant cannabinoid on the molecular level of this strain. The crystalline compound tetrahydrocannabinol is the main ingredient of cannabis. Topping out at a massive 27%, the THC in the Indica-dominant strain is responsible for the euphoric and relaxed feeling you get when using Jealousy.
- CBD: Very Minimal Amounts – While the CBD levels in Jealousy are around 1% the cannabinoid is still present and the effects are noticeable in this strain. CBD plays a smaller role in what the strain does to the user.
